First Looks: Zoundry Blog Writer 0.9.137 – Weblog Client November 11, 2005Posted by Ced in Reviews, Software.
I am currently trying out Blog Writer 0.9.137 (Windows, Freeware, 4.6MB) for posting on WordPress.com. It’s a weblog client that supports WordPress, Blogger, Typepad, Movable Type, and LiveJournal.
Here are the features I found interesting:
Multiple weblog accounts support. You can use the same client for all of your weblogs. I can create posts for my WordPress.com weblog, and Blogger weblog as well.
Inserting an image tag is easy. All I have to do is click the “Insert image tag or file” button, insert the URL of the image, set the alignment (right, left, etc.), and its done. It also appears that the editor automatically resizes the inserted image. If you are not happy with the adjusted size, you can easily alter it via the Picture Properties menu.
Tag Words support. For those who make use of tag words in their posts will love this feature. You can specify the tag words you like to put in your post, and Blog Writer will automatically put them below. It supports tag words for Technorati, Del.icio.us, Ice Rocket, Flickr, Buzznet, 43 Things, and LiveJournal.
Weblog Ping function support. When publishing a post, you can specify the services that you want to ping. Supported are: Technorati, Ice Rocket, Weblogs.com, Blo.gs, Ping-O-matic, My Yahoo, and FeedBurner.
